"Thalkirchen" : New office spaces in the heritage-protected ensemble of the former "Isartalbahn-Betriebshof"

Isartalbahn-Betriebshof in Thalkirchen

The "Isartalbahn- Betriebshof" is  supposed to be renovated in March. The area was first operated by the "Reichsbahn" and afterwards by the "Deutsche Bahn" (1938-1949). It was finally closed 1956. The plan of Alpha Invest to set up offices failed, because they couldn't find buyers for the property. However, the property was recently sold to an architect and designer who is from "Haidhausen". Through the sell it was possible to create a new vision of the former railway land. The architect is already popular from many realisations of projects in the south of Munich. He will present his drafts of the heritage-protected ensemble to the District Council in February.
